LONG WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in such need for a long weekend!!!!! I have so much to do and I am pooped and need to rest!

These pictures are of the American Cemetary in Normandy, France. The French gave this land to the Americans after WWII and when you go there you are actually standing on American soil. It's a very neat and emotional place to be. When you walk in and see all the crosses, perfectly placed, it is an amazing sight. I think this was probably Marty's favorite place that we went to while we were in France. He is a total WWII nut and he was so incredibly moved by the whole thing.

This Memorial Day please remember all of the men and women who served and are serving our country. They place their lives on the line daily for the freedoms that we enjoy here. As you go about your daily lives, doing all the things that you are free to do here in America, say a prayer for the soldiers and sailors who are fighting to give us those freedoms.

Have a great "Long Weekend"!!!!!!!

I'm pooped too, but I don't see us getting any rest until after tomorrow.

I have been to this cemetary too. It is a powerful place. It has special meaning to me because my Dad was at Normandy and he survived. When I stepped onto that land and saw all those crosses, I immediately got tears running down my face. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Love you. Get some rest and don't let Marty or yourself work too hard. I love you guys!

I got teary-eyed when I went to that cemetary, too. It's very humbling to see the endless rows of crosses (and stars). My generation was not raised to be very patriotic, or to comprehend the amount of sacrafice it takes in order for us to enjoy our freedom. That cemetary was a huge eye-opener.
