Praises
The Lord is so faithful and good. I look around at all the little things He's done in our lives. I know we have taken that for granted a lot, but it is my hope that we can take note and give praise for all of those little things and not just the big things.
Yesterday God showed himself faithful yet again. Our oldest daughter Amanda is pregnant with her third child. She went to a doctor that she was referred to by her insurance. On her first visit they determined how far along she should be and said that they should hear the baby's heartbeat. Unfortunately, they could not. They told her that they would wait two weeks and try again. I thought that was kind of weird. Actually I was pretty upset by that. Amanda was upset and those silly people were telling her to wait two weeks! She decided that she would just wait it out. She went back again on Wednesday and they still could not hear the heartbeat. They told her that she would have to wait yet another two weeks before they would see her again and do an ultrasound to see what was up. They told her to hope for the best, but expect the worst. As you can imagine Momma was fit to be tied. My baby girl was shook up and I didn't like it!!!!! We prayed and asked for others to pray. I told her that she needed to look on the insurance list and find another doctor. My boss happened to be sitting in my office when Amanda called me and said that she should look to see if her doctor was on the list. She really liked her. We checked and sure enough her office was on the list. Amanda called and they immediately got her in within an hour for an ultrasound. Praise God the ultrasound showed a healthy, active baby that had a strong heartbeat!!! God is so good.
Amanda is trying very hard to put God first in everything. She has made some conscious decisions to put the things of the world behind her. The devil doesn't like that too much and things have been pretty stressful at home. It's hard when you are trying to do what God wants you to do and that goes against the things that other people want to do. Whenever you think about it please lift her and her household up in prayer.
Be blessed in the Lord and thank you for everyone who has been praying for Amanda and the baby.

Andy,
I understand how Amanda felt.
When I was carrying Jimmy, from the very beginning I had problems.
One doctor told me that my baby was probably already dead and to go home and let nature take it's place.
Long story short...Jim is lying on the couch as I type...tormenting the girls. They are giggling to high-heaven!!!
