Drew

I have to say that yesterday was a really good day. During ministry time at church Drew went up and gave his heart back to the Lord. That was such a blessing. Since he graduated and went to work, there were some things that he had wandered to with some of his work buddies and others that didn't exactly make his dad and I too happy. I knew in my heart he still loved God and knew what the right things to do were, it was just so hard for him to not just go with the crowd. I have seen a difference in him in the last couple of weeks so I think the Holy Ghost was working on him even before yesterday. I am just glad that he listened and was obedient. I would ask that everyone reading this blog please pray for Drew this week. He is out of town with work this whole week up north and I am praying that he can continue to seek God while he is gone and not let worldly things try to draw him away. Please pray for strength for him to stand for what he knows is right and also for protection while he is gone. I love my boy and I am so blessed to see him turn back to God.

TRUST

Trust . . . The Lord just kept pressing this word into my mind this morning. I got to work and looked it up in the dictionary. Trust is a "firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something." Do we have a firm belief in God's reliability, His truth, His ability and His strength? We say we trust Him and then something hard comes our way. We get worried or upset or we try to do it ourselves. We don't have a firm belief that God is able when we do that. One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." We MUST learn to trust God in ALL things. Even the hard things. What do you think????
