Early, Early, Early

I'm here, up early, waiting for yeast rolls to rise in the oven. I'm baking a couple batches for Marty to take to a dinner his kids are making for the Consumer Education class at school. I sit here and think that I really do like getting up early. It's quiet in the house and you can really get a lot done early in the morning. My problem is that my body just does not agree with my mind. Once I get up, I'm good to go. It's just the "getting up". I know for me, I have a routine I go through every morning. My alarm goes off, I hit the snooze three or four times and then I slowly get up and get ready. This morning I KNEW I had to get up early so I did it. No snooze. I can do it, I just need to MAKE myself get up earlier every day. I think I would have a better start if I did. How about you?

Rough Week

This has been one of my hardest weeks at work. There are some laws changing here in Indiana and there were a ton of people coming in to get things filed in court. I have gone into work early, stayed late and not taken lunch every day this week. Then Marty and I went into work on Friday night from 8:30 to midnight. I was wiped. I was physically tired, but I was also mentally drained. It's wonderful how gracious God is though. God gave me the stamina to make it through and helped me to not be TOO cranky through it all. (at least I think so, don't ask my family they may say different!) Anyway, my point is that no matter what we go through in our lives and how hard things get or become, God is always right there. He WANTS to be right in the middle of everything going on in our lives. He wants to be the one we turn to and lean on when things get hard. Then He wants to be the one at the end when it's all over and we've made it through. I'm so blessed He's been with me this week.

Two of My Girls!

Here are two of my girls! My oldest daughter Amanda and her daughter (my granddaughter) Dallys. Now that Amanda is grown up with kids of her own, she and I get along so well. As she was growing up that wasn't always the case. I always loved her so much, but there were times when I really didn't like her too well! I think that is the case with all moms and daughters. Marty says that most of the problem was that we were too much alike. That could be. She is a great mom and I am so proud of her and what she has become. She has a job that she loves and one that was made just for her. I love you Sis!
